Roto billboards are used for outdoors advertising. They are made of three sided prisms jointed to frames. The frame itself is mounted to a self-standing structure or an existing building. The rotation of the prisms is achieved by stepping gear systems. The ongoing action is assured by automatics, which are also applied in setting the rotation timer and direction of rotation. It is also applied in protection from mechanical malfunctions, vandalism or the breakdown of the positioning switch. The billboard is powered by electricity with built in savings outlet. It is usually lit by metal-halogen reflectors.
